Oh my goodness, I've been working on the Graphics page all day today and haven't done anything else. It seems so slow-going. My computer just about gave out - I pushed it so hard today with all the programs I had open and all the copying back and forth I was doing. But the thing is, I still don't have the page done. It is full of graphics and has tons of thumbnails on it - or will have as soon as I can get them up.

I'm just amazed at how long it's taking me.

One problem could be my attention to detail, I'm always fixing little things because I believe that "good enough" never is. Then I get tired and wonder if these pages will ever be where I want them, and then I think - "well, good enough isn't half bad. Let me just load these puppies up and I'll take care of the problems later". Well that's all fine and good, but each thing that needs fixing affects another page or many pages. I just can't let it go. I've gotta fix it.

I'll work on it some more tomorrow when I come home from the office.

Well the weekend is here and I'm still working on this site. I have much to do, but now it's going a bit faster. Yet sometimes, now and again, I feel I am not making headway. This usually occurs when my computer decides to automatically shut itself down, which it seems to do quite a bit lately. 'Tis a royal pain, especially when I have a deadline. But then I'm able to bring it back up and I'm able to take care of those things I need to do while it is up. Ahh well, such is life.

I added the site map and the terms of service page today. I also transferred the Recommend It code from the other site and I added Human Click as well. So yes, I have been busy today. Good for me!

Working hard on the site re-design and I almost have it there now. This site is almost where I want it to be. I still have a lot of work ahead of me with converting my content from Redrival, but that's not the hard part. Funny thing is, the hardest part so far was determining a link color that would work across different colored backgrounds. Plus I also discarded a lot of the work I had done. I had added a menu bar, but decided to chuck it all for a simpler page.

Oh, and I decided to offer a monthly contest so I can get some quotes for the main page and thought it might be a good idea to give the Color Your World mousepad as a prize to one lucky person each month!

I sure had fun creating Pat's site Howdy and Bonjour. It was fun creating those funky southwestern style graphics using of course the colors I love! She seems to like it too! For an example, here is an image from the set:

What fun!

Other news, I've made two sets for The Peacock Chronicle. One set is called "PC Gothic" and the other is called "Celtic Simple" and they are located in the Peacock Gallery. The sets were created by me for the Peacock Chronicle to offer their viewers. Of course, the Peacock Chronicle is my sister audrey's site where I am a contributor. Check 'em out!

By the way...I've also been collaborating on the Westbury Civic Club's new web page with 3 other folks and it's really been great getting to know these folks who live in my area. Pretty neat, huh?

I came here today to redesign Le Bog using my new layout. It's funny how I went through this process in various stages, you should see all the fancy pages I made in my quest to create the most perfect one. I made really slick professional pages, really beautiful textured and marbled pages, really cool artsy pages. I couldn't make them perfect though and so I gave up and scrapped all my ideas. I went back to my basic love for colors and decided just be me instead of trying to fit into a particular mold about what the site should look like. I sat back and opened a box of crayons and remembered that I love each color best when it's not alone. Don't get me wrong, single colors are beautiful all by themselves, and yet when placed with other colors, each color is then enhanced. A new mood is conveyed with the introduction of a new color. I just enjoy colors. That's all.

Yippee, I found the Secret Stash at the Masqued Mob and now I've won a prize! Woo hoo. It was a lot of fun. At the Masqued Mob, you choose whether you want to be a "Good Guy" or a "Bad Guy". A Good Guy tries to find the secret stash and the Mob members try to hide it. It's quite fun and I'm tickled that I found it.

Can you find the secret stash?

I shall be leaving on vacation on Saturday morning the 22nd of July. I'm going to see a friend in Lawrence, Kansas and my family in Wisconsin. I won't be back till August 7th, so if I do not get to get on and post here till I get back....well then I'll just say..."Oh, Bee-Have!"

Perhaps it's an addiction. Perhaps it's love at first site (pun intended). Perhaps it's simply an overflow of creative juices. In any case I can't keep my hands off of Paint Shop Pro 7. Sure it's a beta...but boy, it's wonderful. When the software is actually released, I recommend it to anyone interested in creating graphics. Better yet....download the Beta and start having fun now!
